The purpose of the Survival Guide is to provide busy ambulatory care practitioners a resource with examples of successful models that could be adapted and implemented in their health system, clinic, or community pharmacy.

To help facilitate submissions, please feel free to review the 3rd Edition, found on the PRN website. Published submissions are great examples of scholarship. We look forward to some great examples of your work!

The goal of the Ambulatory Care PRN Grant Program is to promote research and scholarly activity among PRN members and to foster the development of grantsmanship and research skills.

The award is designed for ACCP members who are also current members of the Ambulatory Care PRN and who qualify as a junior investigator (see eligibility criteria below). Grants may be for general support of ambulatory care pharmacotherapy research in any of the following areas:
• Clinical Research
• Pharmacoeconomic or Outcomes Research
• Pharmacy-Related Health Services Research
• Pharmacy-Related Educational Research

** The Ambulatory Care PRN strongly advocates research with unique pharmacy services incorporated in the Patient Centered Medical Home(PCMH) model, special consideration will be given to proposals incorporating PCMH principles.**

The purpose of this award is to provide funding for a research project that will contribute to the development of the principal investigator’s research career. The award should serve as support for a project, but is not intended to supplement an existing, funded, research effort. It is anticipated that funded proposals will demonstrate potential for future extramural funding.

Eligibility criteria: The principal investigator of the award application must meet all of the following:
1. Current membership in ACCP and the Ambulatory Care PRN
2. Received less than $10,000 in total extramural research support
3. Received funding for 2 or fewer research proposals
4. Identify a research mentor for the proposed project

**Residents or fellows who meet the above eligibility are encouraged to apply**

The total available funding for this award program is $1,000. The award amount will depend on the number of proposals received and the merits of the individual proposals, but no single award will total more than $1,000. Therefore, there may be one award up to $1,000 or multiple awards for amounts totaling $1,000 in support of the direct costs of the proposed research.
